One Incomprehensible Absurdity After Another

Arming the Enemy

Where should we start? And how many more actions, detrimental to Israel, destructive to the traditional citizenry of the United States will have been committed by the time you read this article? Should we begin with the insistence that a “deal” be signed with the recalcitrant Iranian regime, just in time for the next “Death to Israel, Death to America” rally? The enemies of Israel and of the United States paraded in the streets of Tehran celebrating economic and potential military victory. Israel is shell-shocked by the betrayal of a U.S. president and his State Department that puts the president’s pro-Muslim ideology ahead of national security interests.

Iran has been caught violating existing agreements (as have some European concerns doing business with the ayatollah’s regime) as recently as last month, while the nuclear talks were in progress. The UN’s nuclear regulatory body caught Iran red-handed, time and again over recent years, ordering components and conducting work clearly designed to produce nuclear weaponry. The Islamic theocracy never entered into a deal they didn’t intend to break, or that they weren’t already breaking.

Surely the current U.S. administration knows the recent history of this situation far better than we interested observers. It is common knowledge, published everywhere worldwide, that Iran was lying constantly in its dealings with the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency. The United States refused for decades to deal directly with the coat-and- tie buffoons who represent the Iranian regime diplomatically, because the whole world knows they lie casually, constantly, and there has never been any point in pretending otherwise.

But the transformational president of the United States knows better than the Israeli Prime Minister, and for that matter anyone with a smattering of knowledge about the criminal, radical terrorist regime in Iran. The only reason anyone can fathom for his stubborn insistence on making a nuclear agreement with this most dangerous of Middle East nations, is that this might be his last hope for some “legacy” relating to foreign policy. Everything else he’s touched in the Middle East has gone up in flames. And what a legacy this will be, if it cannot be quashed by Congress over the next couple of months. We can only shudder to fathom what Iran will do with the hundred fifty billion dollars released to them as sanctions are lifted, or what it will ultimately do with nuclear weapons and ICBMs. That will make for quite a legacy alright.

So the deal with Iran is done. Iranians took to the streets to celebrate. Syrian President Assad is praising it. As an ally of Iran, he and his rogue regime stand to profit from Iran’s windfall of hundreds of millions of dollars released along with other economic sanctions. Putin is happy, because the arrangement with Iran sets up countless opportunities for Russia to profit from dealings with Iran as well as other Arab nations who have turned to Russia after having been snubbed by the current U.S administration. Here at home, we have nothing to celebrate. Iran got everything it wanted out of the diplomacy charade. Israel got the back of Obama’s hand, and is in a state of shock. The moderate Arab kingdoms have been betrayed by the arrangement, and are wondering what they’ll have to do to match the might of a nuclear Iran. Savvy political prognosticators say that the U.S. Congress has virtually no chance of striking down the “treaty” with Iran, because the “deal” has been classified as something other than a treaty.

Bill Clinton’s former CIA director, James Woolsey called the agreement, “Worse than worthless.” He said, “The United States had a reasonable position two years ago, and for the last two years we have caved and caved and caved and caved.”

The current president himself, having crowned himself with what he’s touting as a great accomplishment in the interest of peace, admits that the “deal” does nothing to require that Iran cease and desist with its export of terrorism. Nor did it require Iran to do virtually anything, other than promise to proceed somewhat more slowly. No one who’s followed Iran’s record in dealing with the United Nations during the years before Obama decided direct negotiations were advisable, has the least bit of confidence that Iran will make good on whatever lame promises they’ve made.

What the “deal” does do is legitimize Iran’s nuclear program intact. It releases hundreds of millions of dollars that have been frozen by sanctions. It allows Iran to import or export weaponry after five years. It puts Iran in a position where they can complete nuclear weapons on short notice. More details will be forthcoming, but some who’ve seen the written text say the whole thing is squishy and has lots of room for dispute over what is and isn’t allowed under the terms. No doubt there will be the same kind of nonsense nuclear inspectors experienced previously in Iraq, with Iran refusing to allow access. It is claimed that nuclear facilities on or near Iranian military installations are not covered by the “deal” anyway.

Some say that the diplomatic “breakthrough” is the spark that will ignite a nuclear arms race in the Middle East with several Arab states realizing they have to match Iran’s capabilities. Others say Obama’s mystical achievement will usher in World War III. Wagers, anyone?

Sanctuary Nation

We’ve learned that anyone in the public eye daring to make observations critical of the lack of cleanliness, honesty or good intentions of illegal aliens will be subjected to a crushing wave of derision. They’ll be blackballed by networks, scorned by the PGA, boycotted by department stores and ignored or dismissed by competitors, as was Donald Trump when he dared to accurately (if “inartfully”) describe hordes of bad actors from Mexico and beyond who are committing hideous crimes against American citizens.

When the president held his victory-lap news conference celebrating the agreement to give Iran everything they wanted, while giving Israel NOTHING it wanted, and patriotic Americans NOTHING they wanted, nobody dared mention the illegal alien who murdered Kathryn Steinle in San Francisco. That murder only gained national attention because of the sheer beauty and kindness of that wonderful girl whose life was senselessly, and needlessly snuffed out because of the idiotic policies of the current administration, the City of San Francisco and its Sheriff.

The Sheriff refused to acknowledge any personal or professional responsibility for Miss Steinle’s death. In fact he insisted that San Francisco is a safer place because of the city’s sanctuary policy toward illegal aliens. Everybody with eyes and ears knows that the filthy ne’er-do-well murderer had a rap sheet full of felonies, and was released because officials declined to prosecute the drug distribution charge for which he was apprehended. But city officials declined to recognize this murder, and were unmoved during a hearing where speakers tried to call their attention to the matter.

Only one network saw fit to report on the murder, and that was the hated Fox News. Even
the head of Homeland Security, the flippant, arrogant Jeh Johnson said, “Who?” when asked about Kathryn Steinle’s murder before a Congressional hearing. His defenders claimed he couldn’t hear well enough to recognize her name when asked. But circumstances of the crime were spelled out in detail, and he still claimed no knowledge. The head of Homeland Security had NO KNOWLEDGE of something for which he bares indirect responsibility? That’s as absurd as it gets. His only defense might be that every mainstream news network ignored this news. But in his position, that won’t fly either.

The president himself has never spoken of the Kathryn Steinle murder, or his policy that facilitated it. If anyone dares ask him about it in public, they’ll be scolded or worse, and it probably won’t happen. When upper echelon White House officials were asked why the president had chosen to ignore the atrocious facts of the murder, they responded by saying, “Can you imagine if the president addressed every victim of crime? There wouldn’t be time to do anything else,” or words to that effect.

But he had time to insert himself in the Trayvon Martin case, sending Justice officials to involve themselves with protesters. The president made public statements about the death of Michael Brown, encouraging protesters to “Stay the course,” just before they burned and looted Ferguson, MO. He saw fit to weigh in on Eric Garner’s death, but said nothing when two police were gunned dead sitting in their patrol car in New York. He’s had time to rouse the rabble in every racially-charged case exploited by mainstream media that seems to help provoke violent demonstrations and burning of buildings. They must think it makes for great television, and somehow furthers the agenda of the current administration.

The crime statistics relating to illegals’ offenses against citizens’ property and persons in Texas alone are absolutely staggering. But all that changes nothing. Another crime against the safety and security of the United States and its citizens is the LEGAL importation of Muslims from terrorist countries. One hundred thousand are allowed to immigrate here annually, and another seventy thousand are being settled as refugees. Polls of foreign Muslims already residing here indicate that more than fifty percent want Sharia law established universally in the U.S., and some twenty percent believe that terrorist violence is acceptable in order to implement it. What kind of environment will be left to the next generation?

Bankrupting the World

Once again, we find ourselves asking, “Could this possibly be unintentional?” There has been a creeping socialism in the United States for decades, but nothing to compare with the economic redistribution under the current administration. Social programs have exploded, from nationalized health care to food stamps to Obamaphones, to vast sums spent on transport and settlement of illegals. Add to that the enormous sums spent on one “green” boondoggle after another, not to mention the lost jobs and lost productivity from the flurry of regulations that keep coming down from on high. The current administration is spending one trillion dollars per year more than the government takes in. But we are not paying for any of this, yet. It is being added to our national debt.

China was considered the savior of the world economy at the time of the 2008 U.S. economic bust driven by bad loans for over- inflated real estate. That too was a symptom of political correctness and the “anti-discrimination” policies that drove banks to make cheap and easy loans to people that had no hope or intention of ever repaying them. Since those loans were largely backed by the U.S. government, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had to be restructured while all the bad loans were added to our national debt, and the government printed an unprecedented volume of unbacked currency to boost the economy. China was booming at the time, buying up raw materials for its manufacturing sector and bolstering commodity values.

Now, the analysts say, China has hit the wall. It’s currency has been devalued time and again of late, sending shockwaves through international markets. Commodities prices are down by an average of nearly fifty percent. Stock markets the world over are considered over-valued, with much of the money invested now at risk of being totally lost.

Recent years have seen governments all over the world pull every trick in the book to try to keep economies afloat. We’ve seen the U.S. debt bomb rolled down the road a ways every time a spending reauthorization came due before Congress. The Fed has held interest rates at near-zero for years.

Europe has a Greek debt crisis that has been hanging fire for several weeks without resolution. Four or five other southern European nations are expected to be unable to continue servicing their debt. Central bankers are said to be losing control. They’re out of room to maneuver. Interest rates in the United States and in the UK are slated to begin to climb in the months ahead.

Those who chart current U.S. spending and debt acquisition into the years ahead find that current spending policies have us on a path to eclipse gross national product in only a matter of years. That has already happened in Greece, which is why the whole world is waiting and watching to see what Germany will do to try to save Greece, save the euro and save the European Union.

The pope seems to think he’s some kind of expert in these matters. He’s traveled the world, issuing statements lauding socialism and castigating capitalism. It seems he’s all in favor of developed nations accepting vast numbers of refugees and immigrants of every description. And here they come. They’re flooding across the U.S. southern border in record numbers. They’re flooding into Europe by the hundreds of thousands, adding to the millions of unassimilated already there. Already enough Europeans seem to have figured out what is happening to their societies and their economy, at least enough that the political equation has already been altered at the margins.

Not to worry though, il papa will be visiting the United States this fall with solutions for everything. He seems to see nearly everything through the same lense as our current dicatorial president. Settle, feed and support all the world’s poor in Europe and America. Free everything for everybody, that’ll fix it.

But that is the policy that led Greece into the abyss, and threatens the nations of southern Europe. It is the same ideology that has bankrupted Central and South America. It is the ideology that will ultimately take down the world’s currencies, including our own. The grand and final solution might just be the Mark of the Beast.
